Last week, two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7 or higher struck Turkey. As a responsible major country in the world, China also quickly dispatched a number of professional rescue teams to participate in the earthquake response. The Chinese rescue team brought a lot of professional equipment, including several professional-grade drones, to the search and rescue site after the earthquake. These drones will be equipped with gimbals with built-in professional optical optical search and rescue modules and corresponding conductive contact rings inside the gimbals. In addition to powering the gimbal motors, these conductive slip rings will also provide SDI and infrared light transmission as well as other video feeds.
As a recognized manufacturer of conductive slip rings for drones in China, JINPAT has developed hundreds of special conductive slip rings for many drone photovoltaic turrets and various multi-rotor civil suspended devices. The drone that appeared this time at a disaster relief site in Turkey is a tethered multi-rotor drone. This drone is equipped with a lighting module. Once the drone is raised to a certain height, it can illuminate an area of 8,000 square meters. Generally, many tethered drones prefer to integrate a conductive sliding ring into the tether module and adjust the drone’s position using the control system in the tether module. This solution can effectively reduce the weight of the empty drone and reduce power consumption.
To summarize, once a drone is equipped with a conductive slip ring, it can be left unattended. If a slip ring is not added, maintenance will result in a waste of manpower. And if a conductive slip ring is installed, using the JINPAT LPC-0315 is virtually the same. With 24VAC voltage, it can transmit a minimum power of 360W. If the mooring station supply voltage is 48 VAC, the transmitted power is doubled. The only variable is that to meet the needs of earthquake-affected areas, this conductive slip ring needs an increased level of protection so that it can operate normally in certain humidity conditions.
