Test devices are important electromechanical equipment in the process of scientific research and industrial production. As there is a need for 360 degree rotary transmission, a compatible slip ring is required. JINPAT Electronics, a well-known slip ring manufacturer based in China, has introduced many slip ring models to fill this gap. We are going to review some practical examples of slip rings for testing devices and equipment.
First, let’s take a look at the integrated RF electrical slip ring. This type of slip ring, as it is named, is a slip ring that transmits RF signals. It also integrates computer signals. This slip ring is used in terminals that are connected to test equipment that utilizes RF signals. Typical slip ring models are LPT000-U2-HF01, LPT000-1002-U2-HF01 and LPT000-1002-U2-E3-HF02.These three are closely related in terms of structure and technology. They are independently developed and manufactured by JINPAT Electronics and have significant advantages over other similar slip ring products in terms of VSWR, insertion loss, maximum rotational speed and service life.
Generally speaking, the above-mentioned slip rings for test equipment belong to JINPAT’s high-end range. They are used in test equipment with medium/high added value. However, it is often the case that a simpler slip ring type is sufficient for normal practice. JINPAT recommends the simpler solution of integrating an electrical slip ring with a signal slip ring. A good example is the Ethernet slip ring with through hole LPT012-0101-E3. This slip ring integrates 1 Gigabit Ethernet signal channel and 1 1A power channel.
