The collector ring, also known as the slip ring, is an indispensable component of the rotary antenna system and the communication equipment in motion. Except for some low-end applications that have a short scanning area, most antenna slip rings must include an RF signal module. This RF module has different names depending on the industry. As a professional manufacturer of slip rings, JINPAT Electronics calls such a module a high-frequency rotary joint or RF rotary joint. This rotary joint can support max. 4 channels. The frequency range is the same as that of the antenna and the communication equipment in motion.
The high-frequency rotary joint or RF slip ring is usually combined with a through-hole slip ring. The high-frequency rotary joint is built into the through-hole.
