Radio frequency equipment is used in many fields. It emits electromagnetic waves to realize the functions of communication, detection, and even treatment. For example, the 5G base station is specially used for communication, and the radar is used to detect targets. In the process of transmitting and receiving signals from radio frequency equipment, the radio frequency signal slip ring or its combined products are needed to realize the unlimited rotational transmission of current and signal. First, let’s take a quick look at the LPCC series single-channel slip ring, which is only one channel. When it uses a 50 ohm coaxial line, it can also transmit radio signals of a certain frequency. It can be used alone or together with the JINPAT LPC-T series cover slip ring. It can transmit radio frequency signal due to its internal friction pair structure, which is similar to that of the LPHF series high-frequency rotary joint. Therefore, it can be regarded as a high-frequency slip ring without any accessories such as a cover.
JINPAT LPHF high frequency slip ring has more models than the LPCC series, which has up to 4 channels. Different models support different radio frequency bands. However, the slip ring of this series is slightly different from the LPCC series in that the coaxial line is no longer reserved at both ends of the slip ring. Secondly, SMA and other interfaces are used, allowing end users to use the corresponding coaxial line wire. In use, this type of slip ring is similar to the LPCC series, while the corresponding integrated objects are not only the hollow shaft slip ring but also the disc slip ring.
Due to the characteristics of the RF slip ring, the application range of its integrated products is very narrow. It is mainly the radar antenna or mobile communication antenna of various platforms. Of course, this integrated RF slip ring can also be used in some vehicles for radio and television broadcasting. In terms of RF signal slip rings sold by JINPAT Electronics, they are mainly integrated products, and among these products, they are mainly integrated exclusive rotary joints for LPHF RF signals.
As for the rest of the integrated products, there are some products that integrate the RF signal path on the traditional through-hole slip ring. Some of these through-hole integrated slip rings have more than 4 RF signal paths. Due to the large number of RF signal paths and the large aperture that affects the RF signal transmission, manufacturers need to have good skills in adjusting the phase change, decoupling, phase stability and time delay control of the slip ring.
