A few days ago, heavy flooding caused a disaster in Henan province in China, endangering the local population and destroying the local communication network. The Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched a Wing Loong UAV to assist with communications. It took 4.5 hours for the Wing Loong UAV to reach the site. The UAV helped to provide network communication in the area and hence facilitated the rescue operation. This shows how China is leading the way in UAV rescue.
The UAV collects information such as the SAR of the target area and sends it back to the control center. So the electro-optical unit on the UAV is the key device. And to enable the electro-optical module to rotate 360 degrees during data transmission, a slip ring is needed.
