Machine vision first appeared in automated manufacturing to check for faults on various products. As an advanced testing technology, it can work independently or be integrated with industrial robots to complete processes such as 3D scanning. In most cases, 3D scanning machine vision devices require a high-definition video signal slip ring or an integrated slip ring with high-definition video signal bandwidth.

Recently, Chinese researchers combined machine vision with an industrial robot to scan 3D graphics of the Terracotta Army of Qin Shihuang. Although the devices used do not include slip rings, they paint a grand image of the combination of machine vision and robot. JINPAT slip rings designed for industrial robots have super miniature size models with a minimum diameter of 6.5 mm and above, which support hundreds of watts of power transmission. As for 3D scanning robots, most of them are small / medium size slip ring models. That is, they are through-hole slip rings and capsule slip rings with a small hole diameter or diameter.

The LPC1C slip ring is a very mature branch of the JINPAT standard slip ring and can be directly applied to 3D scanner robots. In addition to small and medium-sized products, JINPAT Electronics also excels in developing super miniature SDI high-definition video slip rings with a diameter of less than 10mm.
