Electro-optical modules are devices that integrate various technologies such as optics, electronics, mechanics, etc., commonly used in aerospace, military surveillance, ship navigation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other fields. As a rotating component integrating optical sensors, cameras, lidars, etc., many electro-optical pod devices require slip rings for power, signal and data transmission. JINPAT, as an international expert in electro-optical pod slip rings, has developed several high quality products for this field.
Recently, JINPAT has developed a new type of integrated electro-optical contact ring for capsules for a customer. This product has an optical-electrical integrated design; by integrating optical fibers with electrical slip rings, it exhibits synergistic performance in transmitting optical signals as well as power and data signals, providing comprehensive connectivity support for electro-optical pod devices. Considering the actual application conditions, this slip ring is also low-temperature resistant, capable of operating in harsh cold environments, ensuring stable and reliable operation even at -40°C; it adopts high-strength aluminum alloy housing, which makes the product lightweight, while having excellent corrosion resistance and impact resistance, suitable for a variety of challenging environments.
In addition, the featured product of this series of electro-optic slip ring pod is the model LPC-3402-46 SHD 01, which has 46 signal channels and 1 high-definition signal channel. The signal channels use twisted pair cables, shielded cables and dedicated cables, while the power ring is connected to externally coated fluorine wires.
Between that ultra miniaturized electro-optical contact ring JINPAT can adapt to different demanding montage platform, such as innovative model LPMS-44S diameter 16 mm and reduced length 23 mm. This means that the thickness of each copper ring plus isolationist in this contact ring does not exceed 0.5 mm, which puts it on the front of the contact ring technology plan and demonstrates the strength of JINPAT in the field of electrooptical contact ring pod.
